About Mandarin Orange

Pakistan is one of the largest exporters of oranges. Pakistan produces 2.6 million tons of non-GMO citrus annually and is ranked 12th with respect to citrus production in the world. Pakistani citrus is valued all over the world due to its ease of peeling, high juice content, delicious and refreshing taste, attractive color, and high nutritional contents. Different citrus varieties, like Mandarin and oranges, are produced in the country. The main production areas are Sargodha and Bhalwal in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Out of all the varieties, Mandarin (Citrus reticulate Blanco) is the most prominent variety produced and exported. It accounts for about 80 percent of the total production of citrus in Pakistan. This variety is famous for its juicy, soft, and scented characteristics. It is easy to peel and rind with multiple glands. The peel color is yellowish orange with a brix content of 10–13% and a firmness of 3 kg/cm2. The fruit size varies from 56 to 100 mm and is separately graded and packed for the designated markets. The main export markets are Afghanistan, the Russian Federation, the Philippines, the UAE, and Indonesia. Pakistan also produces value-added products from citrus, which include juice, pulp, jams, and several confectionery items. Pakistan also produces various types of sweet oranges (Citrus cinensis), viz., Washington Nevil, Succri, Red Blood, Jaffa, Ruby Red, etc. Citrus is also produced in different parts of the country to meet local and international demands.

Harvesting

Mandarins (orange) are harvested at the farm and transported to a processing plant, where they are carefully placed on a sorting conveyor by skilled workers.
Washing

After harvest, mandarin orange crops go through a specialized washing process. Here, all dust particles are removed from Mandarin oranges. The water is regularly checked and tested at the laboratory to ensure purity and cleanliness. Our Mandarin oranges were washed, waxed, and then rested in a safe environment.
Catagrazation

After washing, the mandarin oranges are divided into different categories according to their sizes. As leading Mandarin orange suppliers in Pakistan, we separate them into different categories. These categories include different sizes of mandarin oranges. Based on these dimensions, the orange count in packaging boxes ranges from 45 to 110 per 10kg box. Packaging

Storage and loading
Packed Mandarins (Orange) are stored at +4 degrees Celsius in a cold store. After maintaining Mandarins (orange) temperature, we load them in a reefer container and dispatch them to the customers requested ports.
